Veronica Gilton, Evolve Media’s recently named CTO (she previously served as Evolve’s SVP of Technology), has more than 20 years experience building and managing high traffic websites and possesses a distinct ability to communicate effectively with tech peers and business stakeholders. At Evolve, she manages teams of engineers, tech-ops, and DBAs responsible for in-house ad serving platforms, video platform, and content driven websites. She is also responsible for tech operations for offices in LA, Toronto, New York City, London, Sydney and Hermosillo, Mexico. Gilton has been instrumental in growing the company’s remote development team, which reduced overall cost and significantly increased employee retention. She has an expert understanding of all aspects of online advertising and significant experience with infrastructure management, architecture and hosting.
DEREK PETERSON
Chief Technology Officer – Boingo Wireless
Derek Peterson, Ph. D., is responsible for Boingo’s technical vision and strategy. Under his leadership, Boingo is pioneering the adoption and deployment of the latest IT and network technologies including Passpoint, network virtualization and convergence. He is directly responsible for building and operating Boingo’s core technologies and systems, including web applications, client software, networks, authentication, billing, advertising, IPTV, business intelligence and IT infrastructure. Dr. Peterson has deep telecommunications experience as a consultant, engineer, product manager and executive. Prior to joining Boingo in 2011, he served in strategic product roles at Oracle driving global launch campaigns for LTE adoption and billing software solutions. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm and Operation Joint Endeavor, serving with the United States Air Force.
