MomentFeed Hires Engineering Executive
Santa Monica-based location marketing firm MomentFeed hired Avik Dey as its new senior vice president of engineering. Previously, Dey served as executive vice president of Marin Software and worldwide director of big data products at Intel Corp. Socaltech reports Dey’s hiring comes just three days after MomentFeed appointed a new chief financial officer.
Burbank-based online gaming media company Machinima Inc. will lay off employees and cease operations, according to the Hollywood Reporter. A remaining few employees will remain and work for WarnerMedia company Otter Media. Machinima was acquired by Warner Bros. Digital Networks in 2016 and originally launched 19 years ago as its own website before becoming a multi-channel YouTube Inc. network.
Nfusz Changes Name, Prepares for Nasdaq Listing
Hollywood-headquartered sales intelligence firm formerly known as Nfusz Inc. has a new name – Verb Technology Company Inc., the Business Journal reports. In addition to the name change, Verb consolidated stock for an upmarket listing on the Nasdaq in the form of a 1-for-15 reverse stock split, a move approved by the company’s board of directors Jan. 31. Verb Technology will trade as “VERB” on the Nasdaq once listed.
