Tetra Tech Inc. on Tuesday said that its Tetra Tech Canada Construction entity has been awarded a $30 million contract to provide turn-key construction services for the Lamèque Wind Power Project in the province of New Brunswick.

The Pasadena engineering company’s client for this project is Acciona Energy North America, which is part of Spain’s Acciona Group. Tetra Tech Canada is part of a joint venture with Acciona Infrastructures Canada Inc.

The 45-megawatt wind farm will use 30, 1.5 megawatt Acciona Windpower turbines and is expected to be commissioned in early 2011.
