CoreObjects Software, a Los Angeles software development company, has been acquired by an Indian company, it was announced Thursday.

Bangalore-based Symphony Service Corp., which provides software product engineering services, did not say what it paid for CoreObjects, which has operations in India and Great Britain.

Symphony, which has U.S. offices in Palo Alto, said the acquisition will expand its product development capabilities, particularly in the health care sector. CoreObjects, which received funding from Santa Monica’s Palomar Ventures, has contracts in the United States, Europe, and India. Its Los Angeles-area clients include Stamps.com, Xoova and Practice Technologies.
