Providence St. Joseph Medical Center
Karl Keeler was appointed in 2022 as the chief executive of Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, which has 392 licensed beds in Burbank. In 2024, his role expanded significantly when he was named chief executive of the Providence LA-Valley Service Area as part of a companywide administrative reorganization. In addition to leading Saint Joseph Medical Center, he now oversees Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, which has 377 licensed beds, and Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, with 204 licensed beds; the latter hospital operates in partnership with Cedars-Sinai Health System. Before joining Providence, Keeler was president of MercyOne Central Iowa Region, overseeing 43 hospitals.
