First elected to the Glendale City Council in 2005, Najarian this year was selected as the city’s mayor for the fifth time. His most recent reelection was in 2022. A practicing attorney, Najarian also has stamped in influence on both Los Angeles County and the Southern California region. Since 2006, he has represented the North County/San Fernando Valley region on the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Board of Directors; he most recently served as its chair in 2022. Since 2013, he also sits on the Metrolink Board of Directors as a representative for L.A. Metro; he chaired that board in 2022 as well. He is married to award-winning news anchor Palmira Perez.
