As president and chief executive of Wedbush Securities, Wedbush is responsible for managing the Pasadena-based financial services firm’s day-to-day operations, overall strategy, and growth and development initiatives. Wedbush, which manages $5.7 billion in assets, has three primary businesses: wealth management, capital markets and clearing. The son of the firm’s original founder, Wedbush has held a number of roles at the family business including head of capital markets and co-president. Under Wedbush’s leadership, the firm has made moves toward global expansion in Canada, South Korea and Malaysia. Wedbush Securities relocated its headquarters to Pasadena this year after being in downtown for more than 60 years. Before joining the family firm, Wedbush was a principal and director of convertible securities at Montgomery Securities, which is now Bank of America Merrill Lynch Securities, in San Francisco.
