Nearly 30 years ago, Ressler co-founded Century City-based Ares Management Corp., the fifth largest private equity firm in Los Angeles County. In addition to his duties as executive chair, Ressler serves as chair of the Ares Executive Management Committee and is a member of the investment committees of certain funds managed by the Ares Private Equity Group and certain funds managed by the Ares Credit Group, as well as the Ares Sports, Media and Entertainment Investment Committee. Ressler is also co-chair of the board of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and is the principal owner and chair of the board of advisers of the Atlanta Hawks.
