HBO
Bloys is chair and chief executive of HBO and Max content. After becoming president of HBO programming in May 2016, he assumed original content responsibilities for HBO Max in August 2020, encompassing all HBO Original and Max Original series, documentaries and specials. In May 2023, with the launch of the new Max platform, Bloys continued to oversee HBO and Max Originals. Bloys joined HBO in 2004 as director of development of HBO Independent Productions and was promoted to vice president of that production division in 2005. In 2006, he was named vice president, HBO Entertainment and named senior vice president in 2009. In 2023, Bloys was appointed to the Television Academy’s executive committee, where he served for a year.
