Last year, Nathanson resumed his role as chair and chief executive of Mapleton Investments, a diversified investment firm in Beverly Hills focused on real estate, private equity and direct investments. This followed a two-year break from the firm while Nathanson served as a U.S. ambassador to Norway from 2022-2024 under former President Joe Biden’s administration. Previously, Nathanson founded Falcon Cable TV and was vice chair of Charter Communications. Last year, Nathanson was No. 34 in the Business Journal’s Wealthiest Angelenos with an estimated net worth of $2.5 billion. He serves on the International Advisory Council of the U.S. Institute of Peace.
