LA500 2025: Lloyd Greif

Lloyd Greif

Chief Executive, President
Greif & Co.

Greif founded his namesake firm in 1992. Since then, the downtown investment bank, which represents entrepreneurially owned and operated middle market companies, has made quite a splash in its tenure. “Greatest hits,” as Greif calls them, include Bacardi’s multi-billion-dollar acquisition of Patrón Tequila, the merger of Mrs. Gooch’s Natural Food Markets into Whole Foods Market, the recapitalization of Kinko’s – now FedEx Office – and the acquisition of Trimark Pictures by Lionsgate. He also founded and sits on the advisory council of the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at USC. He has chaired several local organizations over the years.
