Michael Sullivan has spent the last 30 years in healthcare management, overseeing philanthropy, marketing and business development from remote locations such as Nantucket Island Hospital to Harvard Medical hospitals. He joined LuskinOIC in 2013 and has transformed the Institute’s image, raised record amounts of support, and deepened community engagement initiatives.

Under Sullivan’s leadership, LuskinOIC has raised funds to build a state-of-the-art surgery center, the largest pediatric fracture clinic in the nation, the most advanced pediatric orthopaedic urgent care center in California, a new Border Clinic in Calexico, and more. LuskinOIC is the largest provider of pediatric orthopaedics on the west coast, Sullivan has spearheaded the Institute’s efforts to diversify and most of the staff he has hired fall within minority groups such as the disabled, LGBTQ+, LatinX, seniors, and African Americans. Through extraordinary work, he’s earned the affection of patient families, respect of colleagues, and admiration of the faculty.
