In 2020, Brown was named one of the Best Lawyers in America for Administrative and Regulatory Law by Best Lawyers. Her practice focuses on the consumer financial services and infrastructure industries. Brown, a former California state treasurer, is the daughter of former Gov. Pat Brown and sister of former Gov. Jerry Brown. She was a Democratic gubernatorial candidate herself. Before joining Manatt, Brown worked at Bank of America and Goldman Sachs & Co. She also served as a commissioner of the Los Angeles Board of Public Works. Currently she is on the board for Fivepoint, Stifel, and the Sustainable Development Acquisition Corp, and is a trustee at the Santa Catalina School.
