David Lash has long been a leader in the public interest community. As an attorney he has devoted his career to using the law to fight poverty and advance the causes of the underserved, ensuring that our democratic protections work for those who need them most. He believes in the power of judicial branch to preserve the basic necessities of life for those in need, understanding that access to justice is meaningless without representation by competent, compassionate counsel.
Lash helped launch O’Melveny & Myers’ Pro Bono Initiative, a recipient of the ABA’s distinguished Pro Bono Publico Award, the Rose L. Schiff Commitment to Justice Award, the Beacon of Justice Award from the National Legal Aid and Defender Association, and many others. Following the murder of George Floyd, he was one of the founders of the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance.
