Nick Segal, president, Southern California for Pacific Union International, has more than three decades of experience in real estate. He developed two real estate companies from the ground up. He grew DBL Realtors from 12 agents to 650. It was acquired by Sotheby’s in 2004. He founded Partners Trust in 2009 and grew it to more than $11 billion in sales in eight years. Segal, as chief executive of Partners Trust, was named Realtor of the Year and received the William May Garland Award from the National Association of Realtors. Partners Trust was acquired by Pacific Union International last year.

What was your proudest moment?

I’ve been blessed to experience many proud moments in my life. Most recently, I just got my hands on a copy of my book “On Your Terms” that took me four years to write. Seeing my wife’s and my name on the jacket cover has me smiling from ear to ear.

The diversity of experiences that I can explore on any given day. From restaurants, to culture, to the beach and people watching. You just never know who you’ll bump into.
