Jason Bentley is the music director of KCRW-FM, where he also serves as host of the program “Morning Becomes Eclectic.” He has worked as a music supervisor for film and advertising, and as a DJ at festivals and bohemian loft parties. He started his career at KCRW as a phone volunteer, moving to a nighttime air shift with “Metropolis” in 1992. He held the time slot for 16 years. He has worked in A&R at Maverick and Island Records and did music supervising for the “Matrix” film trilogy and “Tron Legacy.”
