David Herman graduated with a BA from Washington University (St. Louis) and then worked for three political campaigns while attending New York University Law School. Upon graduation and passing the New York State Bar, he joined Perfect Parts, an auto parts manufacturing business his grandfather founded in 1940. After selling the company, he became involved in investment banking and co-founded Chelsea Capital, a boutique investment banking firm. Chelsea was sold to Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, where Herman became a director in the investment banking division. Since 1991, he has been a member of the Water Buffalo Club, a children’s charity. Besides being a photographer, he is an avid tennis player and won a bronze medal at the Maccabiah Games (Israel’s version of the Summer Olympics) in 2009.
