THE MONEY: Bulk of wealth tied up in San Diego telecom giant Qualcomm Inc., which dropped about $17 a share year to year to $52. Runs venture capital and real estate fund Omninet Capital and two other investment companies.

THE BUZZ: Historically very low key. Only member of super-rich Nazarian family with enough known assets to make our list. The Persian-Jewish family came to the United States after Iranian revolution. Kadisha, born in Tehran and educated in Manchester, England, married into family. Wife, Dora, is daughter of patriarch Izak Parviz Nazarian and brother of investor Benjamin Nazarian, both of whom are Kadisha’s partners in Omninet Capital. Family sold satellite technology company Omninet Corp. to Qualcomm in 1988, and Kadisha joined San Diego company’s board. Since leaving Qualcomm in 2002, has focused on private equity and venture capital investments. His Omninet Capital manages $1 billion in assets, all of which comes from Kadisha and other members of Nazarian family. Omninet did no noticeable deals in past year. Firm owns more than 7 million square feet nationwide along with 13,000 residential units, and stakes in a few tech companies including Venice’s Cargomatic.
