How did you come to own a sports team?

My father, Robert Tisch, bought 50 percent of the Giants in 1991. He passed away in 2005, and I was named chairman and executive vice president.

Is it an investment or more of a hobby?

It’s a total passion … c’mon, there are only 32 of them.

Is it a good investment?

In 1991 the Giants were valued at $150 million. According to Forbes, in 2015 the Giants are valued at $2.8 billion.

Other than winning, what’s the best thing about owning part of a sports team?

After a WIN people on the streets in New York stop me and say, “We love your f…ing team”. After a LOSS, the same people stop me and say, “We hate you AND your f…ing team.” I love New York sports fans!!!!

What’s the worst thing (besides losing)?

I once tried to catch a punt kicked by our punter. It hit me on my face and almost broke my nose. It’s hard to catch an NFL punter’s kick when you are 53.

How many games a season do you attend?

Every game.

What was your favorite team when you were growing up?

The New York Yankees and the New York Giants.
