Amazon Now Delivers Meals in L.A.

Amazon.com Inc. wants to make it easier for Angelenos to eat out without leaving home. The company launched its one-hour delivery app Prime Now in Los Angeles on Tuesday, TechCrunch reports.

Items ordered through the Prime Now app, including but not limited to meals from restaurants, can be delivered in an hour for $7.99. The service is available for Amazon Prime customers who pay $99 a year for the program, which includes free, two-day shipping for online orders.

The local restaurants included are: John O’Groats Restaurant in West Los Angeles, West Hollywood’s Baby Blues BBQ, Sprinkles Cupcakes and Umami Burger.
