DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES
Leased Up: Keck Medical Center of USC, a private research and teaching hospital staffed by faculty of the university’s Keck School of Medicine, has signed a 10-year lease for 7,500 square feet of clinic space in downtown Los Angeles with landlord CIM Group, a downtown L.A. real estate investment firm. The clinic, at 830 S. Flower St., will operate as Keck Medical Center of USC-Downtown and will provide general and specialty care. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Checked In: Manufacturers Bank, a downtown L.A.-based institution, has opened an office in Glendale. The new outpost is at 520 N. Brand Blvd. and is overseen by Vice President Leslie A. Lyons.
Linked Up: MediaShift, a Glendale digital advertising company, has acquired Travora Media, a New York travel ad network. The Glendale company plans to combine Travora with its group of ad networks. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Slick Operation: Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Pasadena has won a contract from Saudi Aramco Lubricating Oil Refining Co. to work on a $1 billion lube oil refinery in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. Jacobs will be providing project management consulting services for the project. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
SAN FERNANDO VALLEY
Shot in Arm: Health Net Inc., a Woodland Hills-based health insurer, has provided a $256,000 grant to Serra Community Medical Clinic in Sun Valley. Serra plans to use the grant to acquire a wheelchair-accessible van for transporting patients, to install automatic sliding doors and to renovate examination rooms.
On Menu: Malibu Restaurant Group Inc., a Huntington Beach-based operator of the Malibu Fish Grill chain, has opened a location at West Hollywood’s 8000 Sunset retail center at 8000 Sunset Blvd. The restaurant group plans to open another location on Melrose Ave. later this year.
Outpatient Treatment: Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in Los Feliz has opened an outpatient care center in Torrance. The new 6,138-square-foot outpost, at 3440 Torrance Blvd., will be staffed by 14 physicians covering 10 pediatric specialties.
Apartment Deal: Kevin Falsken has sold a Long Beach multifamily property for $4.5 million to Franklin and Lonnie Giaketsis. The 20,520-square-foot apartment building, at 750 Rose Ave., was built in 1986 and renovated in 2007.
