U.S. TelePacific Corp. has completed its acquisition of Texas communications company Tel West Network Services Corp.

The Los Angeles communications and network services company, which does business as TelePacific Communications, on Tuesday said the deal enables it to enter the enterprise market in Texas. Austin-based Tel West provides Internet, data and voice communications services to businesses in six metro areas in Texas. Terms were not disclosed.

“Entering the Texas market is a strategic milestone for TelePacific,” Chief Executive Dick Jalkut said in a statement. “We could not have found a better partner than Tel West to help achieve that goal.”

The combined company’s headquarters will be in TelePacific’s Los Angeles office and led by Jalkut. Tel West will keep its name and continue to be led by President Jeff Swickard.

TelePacific, whose largest shareholders are private equity investors and affiliates of Investcorp SA and Clarity Partners LP, has the fourth largest market share for small and medium sized business customers in California and Nevada. The biggest are AT&T, Verizon and CenturyLink, it said.
