U.S. Auto Parts Network Inc. said Monday that it has replaced its current Chief Executive and founder Mehran Nia with former Blockbuster Inc. executive Shane Evangelist.

Evangelist, who was previously general manager of Blockbuster Online, will take over immediately, the Carson-based online auto parts supplier said in a statement.

Nia has served as president and CEO since founding U.S. Auto Parts in 1995 and will continue to serve on the board.

U.S. Auto Parts Network shares closed up 4 cents to $8.65 in trading Monday on the Nasdaq.
