Woodland Hills-based managed care provider Health Net Inc. said Tuesday it has named Bret A. Morris as senior vice president and controller, corporate finance, effective Oct. 9.

Morris also will serve as the company’s principal accounting officer. He replaces Maurice Hebert, who recently resigned. Morris currently is vice president and chief financial officer of the company’s Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Program in the company’s Ovations division. Prior to joining Health Net, Morris held senior financial positions at WellPoint Inc. and worked at the national auditing firms Price Waterhouse and Coopers and Lybrand.
