Eisner to Host CNBC Interview Show

Michael Eisner, former chief of the Walt Disney Co., will host a CNBC interview program that will air once every two months, the network said Tuesday.

“Conversations With Michael Eisner” will be a 60-minute prime-time show featuring interviews focusing on the importance of creativity and innovation in all pursuits, from business to politics to entertainment. In addition to hosting the program, Eisner will serve as an executive producer.

CNBC, a unit of General Electric Co., said it will announce when the show will debut shortly.

The program will originate from NBC Universal headquarters in Rockefeller Center, where a very young Michael Eisner worked as a page for the “Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” in the 1960s.

The program will be seen worldwide on CNBC, CNBC Europe and CNBC Asia.

After more than two decades leading the nation’s second largest media company, Eisner resigned from his position and the board on Sept. 30. Robert Iger succeeded him as Disney chief.
