Oil Prices Slip Toward $49 Per Barrel

Oil prices futures prices dipped toward $49 a barrel Monday on rising U.S. supplies and slower economic growth.


The light, sweet crude contract for June delivery fell 12 cents to $49.60 a barrel in midday trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Unleaded gas futures fell just over two cents to $1.475 a gallon, while heating oil fell less than a penny to $1.4235 a gallon.
