Trading Mentor Focuses on Women Students

Up until a few years ago, the Stock Market was the ultimate men’s club. Few women felt drawn to , or even welcome on , the raucous trading floor where tickertape falls like confetti from the long arms of sweaty dealmakers. The idea of walking the floor all day, waving your arms and shouting to be heard above the crowd for many women, sounds more like a recipe for sore joints and a headache.

Luckily, the computer age has ushered in a whole new environment for the savvy investor, and women are quickly learning that, on this floor (the soft-carpeted floor of home), they can roar, without raising their voices above a whisper. One of the reasons for all of this female involvement is that lots of women have discovered day trading, as taught by mentor Sammy Chua. A discipline that is typically regarded as dangerous for anyone who is not a master of stock market knowledge has become a huge economic opportunity for even the rookie. However, there is a caveat…rank amateur or seasoned veteran must use the Sammy Chua system. And why not, since Sammy Chua has realized over a 2300% profit over six months and has broker transaction records to prove it.

“Women pick up the transactions faster than men,” admits Sammy Chua, who runs a school for beginning investors. “They’re usually more inclined to follow the strategies I teach, to the letter. Men, on the other hand, want to put in their own rules, set their own agenda. They try and reinvent the wheel.”

Chua says that 26-percent of his students are women. Many are professionals who desire independence, or who want to make some extra cash in their time off. He says women usually come to him with very little knowledge of the market, but then move quickly up the ladder. Chua credits this with his observation that women are more disciplined about learning the system, and adapt more easily to changes in the market.

A woman’s intuition?

“Women are definitely more detail oriented,” Chua explains. “And when there are 14-different systems to apply for various market structures, you simply cannot expect to do well without paying attention to the details. It’s all about timing, “he says. “Timing and patience. Two qualities women seem to own the market on.”

Speaking of timing and “the market,” Chua insists that now is the best time to learn the skills he has perfected for day trading. “Right now, the market is not as volatile,” he says. “This is what’s called a “sideways” market, which is a great training ground for beginners to capitalize on later. You get to see all the different scenarios in action, and once the market starts trending up, you’ll be able to recognize all the nuances of the system.” In other words, you’ll be ready!

But, what if your math skills are lacking? Chua says that’s no longer an obstacle. “If you have terrible math skills, you can use something called “Windows Excel.” It’s basically a math sheet that you can fill out the night before, and let it do the calculating. On the day of trading, you don’t have to do a lot of the thinking, you can just react.” Reacting is equivalent to timing in Chua’s mind, and timing is the key to success when using his program.

“About 40-percent of my students are making money,” he says. “Compare that to statistics that show 98-percent of day traders actually fail within their first year!”

“One of my students, Emily, has become faster at trades than me,” Chua claims. “She’s just been with me one year, and already she has been profitable for the past few months. It’s amazing to watch her grow. I really enjoy hearing about her successes.” And that’s another part of Chua’s program that appeals to women. He keeps in contact with his students long after class is dismissed. “I have a chat room on the Internet,” Chua says. “My students can contact me at any time, and I also hold classes twice a week if anyone needs to go over lessons.” In addition, Chua regularly holds pizza parties at which a network forms of all of his students sharing tips and guidance. “I have successful students, so I don’t have to hide from them.”

While Chua has already made his fortune from the stock market, he feels an obligation to help others along. “One of the main reasons I started teaching is, I saw that there were standards that needed to be upheld. I saw systems that were flawed, with teachers never actually making money themselves ,-they didn’t know what they were talking about!” Chua says the tragedy is that people are losing money because of bad advice. “I saw a real need for direction. Listen, I have already benefited from what I have learned. Now, I would like to sit back and watch others get rich.”
