Saudinews.com

Outside of CNN and all the other news providers, this site has really hit the mark on what’s going on on that side of the world. From what I’ve seen, the news on Saudinews.com has a much more balanced approach. It gives you perspective on how many people are really militant Muslims and it helps you answer the question “why do they hate us?” To me, it’s a lot more refreshing than some of the stuff I see pounded out on the front pages of the American press.

Heavy.com

As far as original content for the Web is concerned, I think this site really shows what was intended. There are games, streaming video, a lot of sort of satiric takeoffs, spoofs. Obviously they have animation and they’ve got short films.

Sodaplay.com

On this site they’ve essentially constructed wire frame models that you move around in 3-D space and see how they act. It’s a pretty revolutionary type of site I’ve never seen anything like it. The site is unique because most of the technology on the Web doesn’t take advantage of true 3-D space. This is a site for geeks. It’s something I would call ultra-cool.
