It’s a happy landing for Phil Washington, who departed as chief executive of Metro in May. Washington has been named the new CEO at Denver International Airport. The NFT moment has reached the national pastime. The Los Angeles Dodgers last week conducted an auction for a nonfungible token version of their 2020 World Series Champion ring. The winning bidder was also due to collect a physical version of the ring inscribed with the NFT’s token ID. The team said the ring is “nearly identical” to the one handed out to players from last year’s championship club. It includes 222 round diamonds, 10 princess-cut diamonds, 45 custom-cut sapphires and eight round genuine sapphires.
