U.S. Home Sales Climbed in May

Sales of previously-owned homes grew in May at the highest rate in nearly three years. May’s 4.9 percent increase in sales of existing homes was the greatest since August 2011. Home sales outperformed forecasts and the news suggests that the housing recovery is continuing. Median U.S. home prices increased by 5.1 percent to $213,400, Bloomberg reports.
