Universal Music Group was slapped with a federal lawsuit Monday that alleges it paid itself tens of millions of dollars in profits owed to Dwayne Carter Jr., the rapper known as “Lil Wayne,” The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Carter claims the company shorted him after he found and nurtured the talents of successful new artists, such as Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga.
