Real estate entrepreneur Steven Gordon, the chairman and principal owner of Domino Realty Management Co., has made a $1 million donation to the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate in order to fund the Steven C. Gordon Real Estate Student Endowment.
The endowment will be used to help support a variety of programs a speaker series, mentoring by professionals and career services for students, according to university officials.
“Steve’s gift is a real game changer for the Ziman Center,” Stuart Gabriel, director of the Ziman Center, said in a statement. “It will provide innovative learning opportunities for some of the nation’s brightest and most promising students, and it will help to solidify UCLA’s place among the very best university-based real estate programs in the world.”
Gordon, a UCLA alumnus, said in a statement that he is “privileged” to be part of the school and hopes his gift will help “grow future supporters of the Ziman Center and UCLA Anderson School.”
The donation is part of the university’s $4.2 billion Centennial Campaign.
