Teachers, Threatening to Strike, Rally in Downtown Los Angeles

Thousands of teachers and their supporters rallied downtown yesterday demanding higher salaries and smaller classes, the Los Angeles Times reports. Their demands are part of the teachers’ contract negotiations with the Los Angeles Unified School District.
