Stocks Rise

In Monday morning trading, the Dow Jones industrial average was up 88 points, or 0.5 percent, to 16,671.

The Nasdaq rose 60 points, or 1.5 percent, to 4,132.

The S&P 500 was up 14 points, or 0.7 percent, to 1,892.
