West L.A. patent monetization firm Marathon Patent Group Inc. was Tuesday’s biggest local gainer among stocks trading above $1. Shares rose 8 percent to close at $1.54.

Tuesday’s biggest loser, among stocks trading above $1, was cardiovascular therapy developer Capricor Therapeutics Inc. Shares fell 6 percent to close at $2.65.
