S&P Will Pay $1.4 Billion to Settle Litigation Over Role in Financial Crisis

Standard & Poor’s Financial Services has agreed to pay roughly $1.4 billion to settle a lawsuit led by the Justice Department that alleges the firm issued inflated ratings in the years preceding the financial crisis, Fortune reports.
