Small TV Stations Could Go Off Air

Small, low-power TV stations could be knocked off the air by the federal government with no compensation to their owners, the Los Angeles Times reports. The Federal Communications Commission plans to use an auction to shift some public airwaves from carrying TV signals to delivering wireless services to smartphones.
