The Los Angeles Rams have finalized plans to make their training base for at least the next two years at California Lutheran University’s Thousand Oaks campus.

Wednesday’s announcement confirmed earlier reports that the NFL team would be based there while waiting for a permanent training complex to be built at the football franchise’s Inglewood stadium.

The temporary facility at CLU – which will include two new practice fields, a paved parking lot, and modular buildings – will host around 130 Rams staff members, including players, coaches, and trainers while the permanent facility is being built.

“The Rams look forward to becoming an integral part of the Cal Lutheran and Thousand Oaks communities as we establish our roots in Southern California,” said Los Angeles Rams chief operating officer and executive vice president Kevin Demoff in a company statement.

While the Rams are footing the bill for the new construction on campus, the team is also planning to offer internship opportunities for students. The team spokesman declined to provide further details on those specific opportunities when reached today.

The Rams will be the featured this summer on the next series of popular HBO show “Hard Knocks,” which gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at an NFL team’s preparations for the season.
