Digital First Media will pay a reduced price for the Orange County Register and Riverside Press-Enterprise, reports the Los Angeles Times. That’s because a federal bankruptcy court judge has approved a final purchase price of $49.8 million – $2 million less than originally stated – for the assets of the bankrupt Santa Ana publishing company Freedom Communications, which owns the two papers.
