The number of passengers traveling through the airport grew to 7.1 million last month, up 5.8 percent from the 6.7 million passengers of the same period a year earlier.
Domestic volume grew 3.9 percent to 5 million, compared to 4.8 million a year ago. International passenger numbers climbed 10.8 percent to 2.1 million, up from 1.9 million a year ago.

Year-to-date, 50.1 million people have traveled through LAX, a 4.6 percent increase over last year’s first eight months, when 47.9 million people passed through LAX.
