Tiger Text of Santa Monica, a provider of secure messaging apps for health care industry users, has launched TigerPage and TigerFax, which will allow users to receive and respond to pages and faxes from their smartphone, HITconsultant.net reports.

Although pagers and fax machines are still widely in used in hospitals, TigerPage software can replace pagers, letting users send a voice message or make a call from their TigerText inbox, automatically transcribing voice.
