Californians who make $250,000 or more or have a combined household income topping $500,000 will no longer qualify for California’s electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle rebate program when new rules go into effect today, reports KPCC.
The program, which has been in effect since 2010, will now offer a larger rebate to those Californians with lower incomes in an effort to incentivize more people to buy cars with little or no carbon emissions.
