The three NFL teams that submitted applications to the NFL seeking permission to move to Los Angeles might have a lot to gain if their proposals are approved. The San Diego Chargers, the Oakland Raiders and the St. Louis Rams would each see their revenue boosted by hundreds of millions a year, according to a report by WSBT-TV.
And that, in turn, would immediately make each franchise much more valuable.
“The value of the franchise will immediately increase by more than $1 billion for any of the teams that move to L.A.,” Marc Ganis, a sports marketing consultant who’s helped NFL teams move in the past, told the outlet.
The Los Angeles area hasn’t had an NFL team of its own since 1995. Two of the three teams are expected to get approval to move here.
