Rentech, Inc., a wood fiber processing company, was one of the week’s leading gainers. Shares rose 51 percent to close at $3.04 a share on Friday.

Capstone Turbine Corporation, a California based gas turbine manufacturer, was also a big gainer this week. Shares for the Commerce firm rose 21 percent to close the week at $1.48.

MannKind Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company, was among the week’s losing stocks. Shares fell 25 percent to close the week at $1.59 a share.
