In Monday trading, the Dow Jones industrial average was up 65 points, or four-tenths of a percent, to 14,975.

The Nasdaq was up 31 points, or nine-tenths of a percent, to 3,434.

The S&P 500 rose 9 points, or one-half of a percent, to 1,615.
