In Wednesday trading, the Dow Jones industrial average closed up 175 points, or 1 percent, to 14,075.
The Nasdaq rose 33 points to 3,161.
The S&P 500 rose 19 points to 1,516.
The LABJ Stock Index rose 1.5 points at 146.
