Among stocks trading above a dollar, Santa Monica’s Marathon Patent was the week’s leading gainer. Shares were up 18 percent to close at $1.75.
Arrowhead Research Corp., based in Pasadena, was also one of this week’s leading gainers. Shares rose 17 percent to close at $6.29 after the company said one of its drugs could reduce Hepatitis B antigens and DNA.
MannKind Corp., a biopharmaceutical company based in Valencia, was the week’s biggest losing stock. Shares of the company were down 16 percent to close at $2.08.
