Lyft has been approved to pick up passengers from Los Angeles International Airport starting this Wednesday at 8 a.m., reports the L.A. Times.
Passengers will be able to book a ride then follow signs marked “ride service” to the upper departures level, where Lyft drivers will be waiting. LAX will collect a $4 fee for passenger pickups, which will be passed onto Lyft customers.
Uber has not received approval from city officials to pick up passengers from LAX and it’s unclear when that might happen.
In August, prosecutors in Los Angeles and San Francisco filed an amended complaint against Uber for allegedly misleading customers about its background checks.
Passengers will still be able to be dropped off by Uber and Lyft at LAX.
