Long Beach Might Have Lost Chance at Formula 1 Return

The organization that puts on Formula One auto races was interested in returning to Long Beach after a 32-year absence, but representatives say they’re looking for other Southern California venues, the Long Beach Press Telegram reports. City officials granted a three-year contract extension for the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach, the group that organizes the annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, which is an IndyCar race, not Formula One.
