Lionsgate, known for producing movies, is making a foray into television through a new stake in Pilgrim Studios, an independent production house in Los Angeles.
According to Deadline, the investment is approximately $200 million for more than 50 percent of Pilgrim. The site reports that Pilgrim will continue to operate independently with full creative autonomy through the partnership.
The programming lineup at Pilgrim includes 47 unscripted and scripted series spanning 27 networks, including Ghost Hunters, Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s, and Fast N’ Loud.
